Merry Christmas to you Tammy. So glad you’re happy and doing well. I had the “Tamoxifen talk” with my doctor today, and I wanted to get your honest feedback of your experiences so far with it. I tend to have depression anyway, so I’m really worried about the mental part of having no estrogen. Also, I’ve heard about the hot flashes, joint pain and mental fog. Your feedback is much appreciated,
Honestly I hated tamoxifen at first. I seriously was having at least 4 hot flashes an hour for the first month. I am on month four now. I no longer have the hot flashes during the day. I do still wake up in the morning all sweaty. I can deal with that. I still have bad leg cramps. I take pain meds everyday at about 3 and I’m good for the rest of the day. Mentally I don’t think it has bothered me and my energy level returned to normal after about a month. My numbers are staying low so I figure the tamoxifen is working. I hope it keeps working for five years! I can deal with the night sweats and leg cramps. I would try it and be prepared for a hard month. As long as it doesn’t effect you mentally I think you can deal with the other things that come with it.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Dear Tammy, I came upon your blog for the first time today, and I’m voting for you in the Healthline competition, but I want to recommend today’s #1 blog in the competition to you as well. Maria Emmerich’s blog is life changing and it may be of help to you. I began following her in an effort to do everything possible to avoid developing Alzheimer’s disease as I see my mother losing herself in this awful disease now. My whole way of eating has changed (and I can see yours has as well from your photos. Good for you, girl!) Just want to suggest you read her newest book “Keto Adapted.” She knows a lot more about nutrition that most doctors and even a lot of her fellow nutritionists. All the love and great outcomes to you, dear. RDK
Merry belated Christmas! While trying to catch up on friends’ blogs, I was drawn to this Christmas photo of yours, did you do the design yourself or was this a template from someplace, it is really, really attractive and I love how you incorporated so many meaningful photos into it! 😀
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. May it be a very pleasant time for some R&R and wonderful memories. ~D
Thank you! I wish the same for you! Have fun at Disney!
Wishing you a very Happy Christmas too … Love the picture 🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄
Thank you Helen! Merry Christmas to you!

Thank you Rebecca! I found her blog the other day and loved it. I believe the food we put in our bodies can make a big difference.
