I go in for my last round of Taxol this morning! It’s hard to believe I’ve made it through 16 rounds of chemo! After four rounds of AC I didn’t feel like celebrating because I knew there was more chemo coming. Today I celebrate! This has not been easy, but I did it! I will have a new PET scan next week and the results will decide my future treatment plan. I’m not going to worry about that today. It’s been a long six months! Today I celebrate!!
Tammy, some will say eventually you stop counting them, for me it was small but, nevertheless a milestone that had passed and worth noting, I took photos and had a complete stranger show up who I had meet from the blogosphere, that to this day is still a diehard friend.
I feel the same way! I know it will not be my last time in that chair, that’s a given when your stage 4. But honestly, after four rounds of AC I couldn’t comprehend doing 12 rounds of Taxol! Today I’m thankful to say I made it through them! How fantastic that a stranger showed up for you! It’s times like these when you really see the good in people! Thank you so much for the comment! Reading blogs like yours has helped me stay positive and make it this far!
Well done!
Thank you! Who knows what’s next, but I’m thankful to have made it to the end of this chapter!
Congratulations!! It’s a tough gig but we are tough ladies! You are right to celebrate every victory and not to worry too much about the next step. One step at a time they say! Good luck with the rest…I have 3 more weeks and then I am done with active treatment and move to maintenance phase! Yay for us.
Yay for us is right! It is hard! I’m hoping I go to maintenance stage after my next PET scan! Right now it’s wait and see!
Congratulations.
